Stay in Hitis archipelago

The Hitis archipelago offers many different alternatives for accommodation, one more cozy and exotic than the other. There is a high-class spa hotel, group rooms at an former military base and everything in between. Or what would you say to a night spent in Viking style, in a reconstructed Viking house? Below you will find travel ideas for Bengtskär lighthouse, Rosala Viking Centre and Örö fortress island. If you only want to visit one or two places, that's fine too!

Accommodation in Rosala and Hiittinen

If you travel with your own boat, you can stay comfortably at Rosala's guest harbor Nötholm, and there are places for campervans in the motorhome stopover in Hiittinen.

Boat connections

You can reach the outer archipelago from Kasnäs. Kasnäs is located in Kemiönsaari, in Southwestern Finland, about 100 km from Turku, 130 km from Hanko, 200 km from Helsinki and 250 km from Tampere.

The ferry to the islands of Rosala and Hiittinen and the ferry to Högsåra are free of charge and operate from Kasnäs all year round. Boat tours to Örö fortress island also depart from Kasnäs. Bengtskär can be reached in May-September from Kasnäs and in summer also from Rosala. Taxi boats to Bergholmen depart from Taalintehdas.
